On a warm and muggy Friday, several volunteer fire companies from throughout Centre County battled an afternoon duplex fire at the corner of East High and South Penn Streets in Bellefonte. A bus from CATABUS came in to be used as a cooling station. Allegheny Street was closed between Bishop and Howard Streets. High Street was closed between Spring and Ridge Streets.
